Five Minute Florist

When words are unable to convey thoughtfulness and love, flowers easily pass the message and express feelings on sender's behalf. Thank you to you. And this simple artwork is by the hand of a novice.

Guy Bestfriend Anyone?

Having through the exam, my weekend is 100% purely for unbend and unwind. On Saturday, yours truly bake another round of chocolate cake to consume the left over whipped cream used as toppings. On noon, dropped in Aster Spring for my monthly facial session. Well, much changes since Aster Spring took over Bella Lina, they now served orange juice and cookie as complimentary. That really worth for the hundreds I pay. After that, went for window shopping all by myself at the mall, just 5 minute away from home. I love Seremban 2! Less traffic and easy parking, if compared to hectic KL.
On much awaited Saturday night, girlfriends and I met up and did that thing we do - gossip, girls talk, bitch and gossip again. One of the girl misses the bf and needs company, there we were, to serve for the purpose. Kunfu Panda was our first choice but the ticket was sold out and so Made of Honor was the second pick. Damn, McDreamy is hot and yummy as always, just like chocolata ice-cream.
Watching the movie sites me to recall, have I been in Hannah shoes, who secretly fell for her best guy friend when he doesn't seem to bother. Have I had any "Tom" in my life? Well, nope, I don't think there is one. But I do have few guy or maybe at the time being, one charming guy friend of mine who resembles "Tom" from the movie and he is not gay.
At the early stage of the friendship, I see it coming and we were nearly there but eventually, it did not happen. Maybe the timing was not right, for me, it I was too early, there was no point of rushing and so we stayed as friends, I really enjoy his company.
I was single, he was single too. Then I met someone, and he is still single. The friendship still on. Now he is seeing someone, I am really happy for him. When the news spreads out, I created an imaginary distance, the same thing I did when another of my guy best friend get married. They have another thing to focus too now. He will be busy getting to know her. And I don't be seen as a rival to her, when I am actually not, never were and never will be. But he was stressing he is the same person I know and still want to become friend. As he grow with the relationship, I perceive how he transform from an ordinary boy to a mature man who really care for the girl he love.
I love this friendship. He is the closest man I can refer to, each time I need to understand my man better. And for any matter related to girls, he know where to find me. For my guy best friend who is married, we still go out for lunch, provided that there will be another person joining us, to make it as three company. Guy best friend is a fun recreation. They don't bitch about other person, the most they do is listen to you, as you blab like there is no tomorrow. That's what woman do right? When you tend to be emotional, it is a good reference point to seek to, as guys are most of the time emotionless and very neutral. And what I love the most is when we talk about man, on guy's perspective, the do and don't that I can implement in my own relationship.
For people with loyalty issues, I don't recommend for you to be involve in this kind of friendship, there is a potential of you to divert. As for me, I personally think I know myself well. I don't easily divert, I know where the limit resides. For that tall dark and handsome guy I met on the plane, for that successful but married guy that asked me out, for all kind of distraction I face everyday at my workplace, I still come back to that only one whom I love dearly.
Kita hanya mampu merancang, insyaAllah.

Cat Version of Puppy Love

My sunshine of life; Cookie and Cik Putih. Cookie is a 3 years old fluffy male cat, Cik Putih is a 5 years old female cat with cute almond shaped bright blue eyes. Both are mixed of Siamese and local breed.
They love licking each other, showing affection among themselves. Cik Putih is a bit shy this time around, so Cookie did most of the work.
They sleep on my bed when I am in it and when I am not in it.
Duh - it IS their bed!
A warm, furry body and a gentle purr can be soothing at times :)

Are you lonesome tonight?

Stressed?

A bit. The bowing marathon has given rise to all kind of pain - back, neck, shoulder, arm and numb fingers. It could due to bad posture or wrong techniques too. Yeah, maybe.
I hope I wont be seeing the same pieces again next year. But if I was unfortunate, I will make sure I choose my own pieces, not the professor de violon. And it has to be Pachelbel Canon D.
People, do you know that stressed - is desserts spelled backwards?
As exam is over, let us dropped the word stressed and make way for desserts. I bake a chocolate cake today. The chocolate cake symbolizes a much needed victory for completing the exam.
I rarely eat what I cook or bake. As such, the shown 1/4 portion goes to mum and dad, 1/2 portion goes to my dear colleague (and mum colleagues) at the office.
The other 1/4 portion is for my bf. Even though he tries to skip chocolate as much as he can, he usually finishes anything that I bake. Let me tell you about the disastrous apple pie I bake. I seriously don't know how he did that but he ate one whole slice. I threw the other 3 slices cause it tasted funny and he still talk about it until today. Whatever it is, am feel thankful he is not a fussy eater. Make cooking and baking more easier!

He is in Kuching now. Come home soon dear, this cake is waiting for you:)

Cup Cake Galore

With the oil price madness, I guess the best solution would be staying at home and hibernate. Zzzz.
Mum will turn 50 this coming Tuesday. In an attempt to save cost, I decided to bake her homemade cupcake for the special day. This is my 3rd time making cuppies; am quite close to the perfection now. Cuppies sweetness? perfecto! I am trying to minimize the artful effect, especially on the color. I scared someone with me Shrek green cup cake the other day haha!
Am planning a surprise birthday party for mum at her office this Tuesday. Sasa, my favourite partner in crime, will be assisting me insyaAllah. Happy Birthday in advance Mum!

Zal Who?

So I am suppose to share 7 facts about myself in this entry. Virus origin : Ozy. Here it goes :

1. I never had a fractured bone
While mum was having me in her belly, she was avidly interested in cheese. Cheese supplies great deal of calcium, protein and phosphorus and that habit endowed me a strong, healthy and fracture-free bone :)

2. I don't watch too much of TV because...
I think it's a waste of time. Please don't get me wrong, it is not that I against the TV completely. I do get doses of news, live sports action, music and fashion videos, traveling documentaries, cooking show and I love National Geographic and Discovery Channel. Simply said, I am very picky of what I tune to. I go for DVD marathon for Grey Anatomy, Prison Break, SATC etc. What have really killed TV? My reading, Internet surfing, shopping, cooking and baking, tennis, cat, and the list go on.

3. I am 26 and I only have 28 teeth
Please. That does not mean that I am abnormal. As an orthodontic patient, I need to sit for four extractions in 2000. To those who does not understand clinical terms, I was on it for my braces lah :E:E

4. 4 things I can't live without
Besides cell phone, cash, credit cards, key and what not, these are on the top of my list. My days are incomplete without them.
- Lip gloss
- Eyelash curler
- Facial blotter paper
- Kiwi Kleen fabric starch spray for an easier ironing and smart crisp scarves and clothes. No more bad hair day!

5. HUET phobia
BOSET is a compulsory course before being certified with a offshore safety passport. Part of BOSET is HUET which is a short form for Helicopter Underwater Escape Training.

Photobucket
And finally, step no 7.....

Photobucket
The purpose of seat belt is to hold you still during big impact. Safety helmet will protect your head from hitting the helicopter wall. In some fatal cases, victim is unconscious after hitting the helicopter wall and fail to escape.

Photobucket
It depends, some simulation is a 4 seated heli, some is a 2 seated heli

Photobucket

Photobucket
The Emergency Breathing System is a new implementation and now compulsory in Peninsula and Sabah/Sarawak region. With EBS, you will be breathing with your own air for 30 seconds, which is sufficient for you to release yourself from the safety belt and find your way out from the confined space. At that time, congestion while rushing to find way out is among the hazard. When I did my HUET, there were no EBS and I was left to complete all of that just with whatever air I have in my lungs and I was panic too.

Photobucket

Photobucket
The first collapse is normal collapse (180 degree). The second collapse is a 360 degree collapse meaning that you will be upside down and ready to face a torturing moment of water up your nose

Photobucket

Photobucket
If you fail to escape, the instructor will save you. But afraid that will not happen in real life!

Photobucket
Die ni mesti fail ni. This is a 4 m deep swimming pool!

I hate HUET! I passed my HUET even though without distinction. I did my second HUET with EBS, which is more simple and less panic because you have supply of air for you to breath. My offshore safety passport will expire in 3 years time so the my next HUET will due on 2010. Yikes!
It is not easy to find oil I tell you. And people still want to bitch about global oil price hikes.

6. If I were to put in a celebrity's shoes for one day, who would it be?
Victoria Beckham & Angelina Jolie for David Beckham and Brad Pitt and why?
A family man, a yummy daddy is an in thing now days. I see being responsible as sexy. A family man+ a sports man is a double bonus.
* I have a secret crush on David Beckham :p (not secret anymore...)

7. I get irritated and annoyed with
- People referring them self to ma : ma bf, ma this, ma that. Eeewww!!
- MiXtuRe of sMaLl aNd BiG cApItAl lEtTerS
- Slow drivers on the right lane
- People standing on the right side of an escalator and blocking who are in a rush
- Motorcyclist in the middle of my lane
- Sean Kingston. He sucks!

Now is your turn :
1. Sasa
2. Jes
3. Izzu
4. Sue
5. Fiza
6. Any of YSL ladies
7. You
