Aida, This One Is For You

Yeah, I've not been writing for a while. Blogging is a seasonal thing for me as I will usually write when there things to tell.
Life is great and I am already in my holiday mood. On work, I am due for peer review presentation and am all nervous about it. Wish me luck :D
Other than that, I've been busy taking care of a cat name Meena. Such an obedient cat she is, and lovely too. She goes wherever I go. When I am watching telly, she patiently waited for me until the show finishes. Most of the time she will fall asleep. After the show ends, I straightaway go upstrairs without waking her up from her peaceful sleep. But she is so sharp that she automatically awake and together we make way to our room and spend our night together.
She is a petite cat, small paws, soft voices, so cute that I am never tired of kissing her. I think about her from the office and always want to go back early so I can be with my Meena. Whenever I come back from the office feeling tired and sluggish, Meena would bring the shines back on me. No wonder they say keeping a pet can lower your stress down. It trully works.
I was suppose to babysit Meena because nobody is at home when my fiance was off town for Hari Raya Haji holiday. But since she is so adorable, I told my fiance how lovely it would be if he could extend Meena's stay at my place. I've even offer him Socks, my handsome kitty to accompany him while Meena is away. He has no problem with Meena staying at my place a bit longer, so I guess I can enjoy my New Year Holiday and watching DVD with this lovely cat :D

This is Socks and he is in love with Meena

Happy New Year People!

Bunga Citra Lestari

Aida, Aisyah, Ezzaini and Fairul, sorry to disappoint you for no photos of Roger Federer captured for you guys, except for the ones in the paper theeheehee. I was so tied up that day and only went down at 11AM sharp and saw the line of waiting people similar like que in the LRT at 6PM . No use of being punctual, but be as early as 730AM will only guarantee you the front line. I couldn't afford to be seen (by the bosses) queueing for the signing event, ain't a good impression baby! So, there goes, work is a priority that I have to let go of my Federer, oh Federer~~~
Sedih sangat, even if I manage to get into the line, tak de bawak paper apa-apa pon except my Assessment paper, commented by my bos, yang sempat I angkut because I need to do some changes on it. If Federer were to sign that paper, kantoi lah dengan bos that I pergi jumpa Federer kan. Terpaksa melepaskannya~~
As he was in action at Bukit Jalil, I got stucked in the jam, on my way back home, because of the heavy downpour in KL. I reached home somewhere at 9PM, took a bath, talk to my very own Federer, pouring sad stories on the signing event and few other office and life issues and retire for the day.
P/s Sorry ye title ni tade kene mengena dengan BCL. One update saje, my Teddy is now playing Aku dan Dirimu sang by Ari Lasso and BCL yang telah dinyanyikan oleh Ashraff Sinclair and BCL during their wedding theeheehee :>

Meet Katie

Walaupun keluar bershopping seharian pada hari Sabtu, balik tu dengan gigihnyer menonton 10 Promises to My Dog (2nd part) and Horton Hears a Who sampai lewat malam. Sungguh seronok. I will be getting the copy of Mama Mia and few others soon but this/next weekend tak de lah tengok movie kat rumah because we will be flying to JB. Hurrahh!
Cute tau Katie ni :):)
Katie is a small baby yak with strange habits. She tends to say 'ah' a lot and speak random thoughts. She also has a frog's tongue, and the ability to float, which she demonstrates at the end of the film. Katie is one of the female pupils of Horton.
From the movie, Horton Hears a Who.

Go Holiday Mood

These are few of my magnum opus taken at Pantai Chenang, LGK.
Photobucket
I have been looking forward to unwind by the beach, somewhere after dateline of the project, which is in December. But I guess it will not materialize since the project has been extended with few additional studies to be completed within pretty tight schedule.
Photobucket
No more "after December". It is now all "after April".

And I am not complaining. I am taking it positively :)

Christmas Sale

The most perfect time to splurge on perfumes and cosmetics is the Christmas time! I can't wait to do my Christmas shopping which will definately include Miss Dior Cherie from Christian Dior, usual skincare regimes, lip glosses and blushers, which suddenly went missing I don't know where.
While in Langkawi and at the airport, I did some price checking and it seems that Dior perfumes are off the same everywhere so might as well I buy it here at ISETAN . Extra points, extra vouchers and they come with miniatures, cute boxes and ribbons!

Engagement Photo

The initial plan was to drop by the photographer office, together with my fiance, once he is back from Korea. But gifted that the photograpers were so efficient, they mailed us the raw files in a CD. There are thousands of them!
What we need to do next is to choose 60 favourite photos for the Engagement Album. It ain't easy I tell you because all of the photos spoke for itself. They are nicely captured and beautiful :)
The one that I am sharing with you are resized files. Once we've finalized the 60 photos, they will proceed with the editing work and for our approval before they produce the Engagement Album.
We are satisfied with their work and we've already agreed to hire them as the official photographer for our wedding. InsyaAllah :)
Check out some of the photos here : Zal-Lula

Sex and The City

Next - Sex and The City
+++++++++++++++++
When I think of SATC, I'd surely thought of UTP, a place where, I and my girlfriends, learnt about the series. Back then, access to any TV series was just a click away. That was the luxury of living in UTP dormitory, Internet was 24 hours and free. I could remember how we patiently waited for the finale of SATC Season 6 at Elmi's room. It was the story of an American Girl in Paris.
Back then, we had our own SATC friends :p
One of them are already thousands miles away. Yesterday, I had the chance to bid farewell to Aritha and hubby, who will be out of country for 2 years. If we were to look for similarity, Aritha would be Sam Jones. In the movie, Sam Jones are away from NY, following her love, Smith. But Aritha is no where near Sam Jones, even though I know Faizad wouldn't agree with this statement. To Faizad, Aritha is Sam Jones (circa 2004). And I am more to Charlotte York, simply because I am the naive one.
To Aritha, I, We are going to miss you. Keep in touch, you will always be in my mind. I hope you like the present, at least you can think of me whenever you look at it.
To my other SATC friends, let's have another luncheon somewhere soon :)

10 Promises To My Dog

Apau made me to watch this one, bila habis cerita tengok cerita tu, die kata die peluk cium terus kucing die.
Will I be doing the same thing too, I wondered.
I cried when the mum read out the 10 promises and when it's time to move to the second part of the movie...
I found out that there were no second part because my fiance copied the first part TWICE and this wasn't the first time he did it.
It happened for Kungfu Panda too.
Aiyorr.

P.S I Love You

I just watched P.S I Love You and I cried.
It was like a river of tears.

Such An Admiration

He is back.
And the much awaited time is the gift exchange time. It would be our habit to buy gifts for each other when ever we go and I am more excited on this one than he is (I think).
I was at one of the gifts store and I saw this - woodchuck wooden puzzle. I straightaway bought it because I know he would love it. He dearly so into these kind of things - rubik cube, soduku and all that jazz.
On the other hand, he got me bags of stuffs (thanks dear) and most of them are pink in colour. I love to the fact that he establishes my liking to pink.
On the way back from the airport, we had dinner. He didn't order for food, well fed in the plane he said, with the fact that he will need to finish my meal too, like always.
And we only took off once he was done with his woodchuck wooden puzzle.

I Am Engaged!

Photobucket
It is official
-25 October 2008-
Wow. That easy huh. A weird feeling at first. But am trying to adapt with it slowly.Anyway, I would like to thank a bunch to those who made it to my Hari Raya Open House and Engagement Party. It meant a lot to me you know :) Thanks to Sasa and Arita, the first couple to arrive, followed by Pejat, and they stayed until the event ended! Thanks to Baby, Ezzaini, Izzu, Daia, Arieca + friend. To my colleague from office, Pakwan, Aida, Sue and bf and to my YSL girlfriends, Hazzy, Najib, Intan, Arin, Tini, Dila, Hani + Hairul, Madia + Izmel. My cousins - Nem, Uji, Irin, Peejat. Thanks to Mama, Ayah, my aunties and uncles for praying for me. To those who unable to make it, thanks for the wishes too. Love you all :D:D
Syukur alhamdulillah, the event went well. It was a memorable event and I am going to treasure every bit of it. Few weeks back, I've been working hard, juggling between work and preparation for the event. Mum and Dad leave it all to us. We were the planner for our own engagement. And we did it well :)

Photobucket
The pelamin was beautiful, the baju was lovely, the cakes, did I tell you the cake was the most beautiful cake I've ever seen! It was another magnificant idea from ratukek, my YSL friend who happens to own a cake cafe. It's only a simple vanilla butter cake but it was decorated with fresh white and pink roses, white ribbons and butterfly and pink dots :) And ratukek sponsored a box of mini cupcakes for hantaran. Thanks dear :)
Photobucket
I love the bunga sireh. The bunga sireh was bunch of pink roses decorated in a wooden box. The roses were the same roses used for my hand bouquet too. The photographers were very friendly, even though that was there first time I met them. They even made friends with some of my friends haha.
Photobucket
Putting on the baju and tudung, I had all this in my mind "Have someone taken care of the door gifts?" "What happen to the aromatherapy, I so hope that the Teddy Dream's oil is still burning" "Pakwan? ohh kesiannye Pakwan duduk bawah sorang sorang, tade orang nak teman die"
I was so worried all those that there weren't bit concern on my mind of getting engaged. I waited patiently and joked with my girlfriends while waiting for the negotiation to end. It was the time when Arin says "Zal, please get ready. They are almost done" when my heart suddenly beats so fast and I had a nervous breakdown. I think I had one.
Photobucket

Photobucket
I took a deep breath. I can do this, that's what I told myself. And the rest was history.
Photobucket
A day after the engagement, my fiance called. He wanted to pulangkan the alas dulang.
Why so rush, I asked myself. But I answered "OK" to him.
He took me to the mall and we break for tea at one of the restaurant. I was keeping quite most of the time. I cant explain how I feel that time but I feel weird. And that was our first date after the engagement.
The next day, he was already thousand miles away. As for me, I packed and get myself ready for the workshop and presentation in LGK.
And I am missing him already.

Few Achievements Worth Celebrating

No words are able to describe how happy and glad I am when I :
* successfully settled the final installment for my car and my piano
* will be few hundreds richer next month ($_$)
* can start eyeing for brand new stuffs
* did well in LGK
and also for the "all went well" Engagement Ceremony last weekend. Syukur Alhamdulillah and Hurrahh!!

Engagement Gifts

My engagement gifts from my favourite cousin, Kak Uji. Thanks Kak Uji :)
She knows how I lurve to read so she gave me those (see picture below). Two books on Cinta Sayang and Membentuk Istana Bahagia. It came with a card, a ribbons and Teddy Bear box. So sweet kan. Thanks once again Kak Uji. I love you so much :)
Photobucket
And while waiting for my flight the other day, got this "I Love Pink, Red and Fuschia" scarf at Tie Rack for Kak Uji. She saw me wearing the scarf and fell in love on it at first sight. I called her from the airport, told her the scarf will soon be officially hers. Happy she was, in return she gave me a teddy hug in Facebook :)

A New Chapter

I am getting engaged in 3 days time, InsyaAllah, if God permits. Yet I am not able to allocate some time to enjoy my few last moment of being single. Work is eating my time. If not for the presentation next week, I could have sit down and relax and get myself ready for the ceremony. I don't even have time to feel nervous at all. I tell myself that I will just go with the flow and act normal on that day.
Bf has been busy too with his audit work and extensive training for the tournament. He will be leaving to Korea again for the same tournament he attended last year, a day after the engagement. I were wishing that we could go together and pick up the my baju from the boutique but it didn't happen. He had to attend the training this time in KL until late hours. No problem though, I can go by myself tomorrow.
I called Mum from the office the other day because the flowers and decor were in front of our door. But she was so bising and said "Dah malam duduk kat office lagi, tak tau nak balik rumah ke?" Haha. Kelakar betul. She didn't know that I had no choice but to stay and settle those stuff before we off for the workshop next week. I've never tell anyone about my job because I don't think they would understand. But the field I am dealing with now is one of the biggest field in the world and worth billion barrels of oil. I so hope my company will get it. I dreamt for it to be one of my significant contribution to the company. And that is why I am working hard for it. Wish me luck and InsyaAllah. Well, I am just a small girl with big dreams you know :)
I should be on leave tomorrow but I am not sure whether it valid or not cause I still haven't receive an approval email from my boss. Sigh. But I will still make my presence to the office tomorrow. I need to check my simulation results and hopefully I will see something good. The simulation takes 20 hours to complete can you believe it? I have to run few cases and that means clicking yes today and come to check for the result tomorrow. Sigh.
I've already had things in mind what I want to do for tomorrow. Go to the office, check results, request my boss to approve my leave request, go to pick my baju and go back to Seremban and drop by at the florist. Aha. I am anticipating this visit to see the florist. I realise how I have fallen in love with flowers, especially fresh flowers. They are so beautiful. And there are tons more to be done. Invitation cards, door gifts, manicure and pedicure, hantaran. Aha did I tell you that I did my own hantaran? And the theme is ribbons and butterfly. Oh how I really enjoy doing it. And many more! 16 tasks listed in my PDA. I so hope I'll be able to remain calm and most importantly, put my "work" into silent mode until Saturday, at least.
Just to share, I've been getting friends telling me things like "Jangan tunang lama-lama", "Lepas tunang nanti asik gaduh je", "Lepas tunang nanti ramai orang akan datang goda kita", "Lepas tunang nanti banyak cabaran". Seriously I am not sure how far it is true but I do see with my own eyes some of the cases that tie back to those statements. Well, I, we will continuously pray for good things dan mendapat rahmat, berkat dan restu dari semua.
Okay I need to go to the bed now. Wish me luck people :)

It's A Free World

A guy asked "I see you are wearing a ring. Are you married or engaged maybe?"
I laughed. Nope I said. I could sensed his curiosity of me wearing a ring when it doesnt tie back to any M or E status.
Let me tell you why. It's more of a personal choice, cheap way of conveying the message that I am "taken", "not interested" or "leave me alone". Running around without a ring bring too much attention. Furthermore, it's a risik ring that I am wearing. A gift from my bf side. It was a suprise. I didnt know that the family would come with a ring, when we both have agreed we just wanna make it simple.
Another story by one of my colleague
"I saw this girl in the LRT. Sweet and pretty but no ring at her fingers. What gives? Something is wrong with her?"
Obviously, nothing is wrong with her. It is just a personal choice she made of not wearing any ring.
I believe a women should be able to wear/or not a ring in any fingers that she wants to with an exception to those who are still sourcing for Mr Right. You may want to avoid the misleading fact on your status. Who knows how many great men may have passed by because they thought you were married!

Kuih Tart Nanas and Kuih Samperit

For kuih tart, I tried it both: the tart bunga and tart gulung, but it is still not as gebu as the commercial tart. The taste is acceptable anyway. I use plain pineapple jam for the topping. I really fancy those tarts with dark colored pineapple toppings on it. Is that pineapple and papaya altogether? Hmm, help needed in here!
You are most welcomed to share your recipe kuih tart yang gebu and the dark colored pineapple jam, if you happen to know any.
Kuih samperit is a O.K. Thanks to Aida for the resipi turun temurun :):)

Renee Olstead - A Love That Will Last (Princess Diaries 2: The Royal Engagement)

If you love Norah Jones, you would love Renee Olstead too!
Sing with me people!
I want a little something more
Don't want the middle or the one before
I don't desire a complicated past
I want a love that will last

Say that you love me
Say I'm the one
Don't kiss and hug me and then try to run
I don't do drama
My tears don't fall fast
I want a love that will last

[Chorus]
I don't want just a memory
Give me forever
Don't even think about saying good-bye
Cause I want just one love to be enough
And remain in my heart till I die

So call me romantic
Oh I guess that's so
There's something more than you oughta know
I'll never leave you
So don't even ask
I want a love that will last

Forever
I want a love that will last
I want a love that will last

[Chorus]

So there's just a little more than I need
I wanna share all the air that you breathe
I'm not the kind girl to complicate the past
I want a love that will last

Forever
I want a love that will last
Always
I just want a love that will last
Want a love that will last

Wedding Wedding and Wedding

Phew! 2 weddings in a day, skipped 2 more, two of which in Kuantan.
I have this thinking on quitting my 9-5 job and become a wedding planner, a profession I've always dream of (besides jadi cikgu music, pemilik bakery and cake house, pemilik butik baju, pengusaha rumah kebajikan kucing).
Don't you know that "Piscesans are dreamers"?

It was hella fun driving to the wedding with these 3 hot Mamas.

Donut Talk

Have you heard ? that... Krispy Kreme is coming to town!!
Few years back, we hadn't much choice except to adore the one and only Dunkin Donut but now days, we have Big Apple, JCo, donut-donut kat bakery, just to name a few. Whatever it is, I am so glad they have Big Apple Donut in Seremban, which is only 5 mins from my place. So when ever I am feeling blue, I know where can I go for cure. And I still love Tuna Wholemeal from Dunkin Donut though.
Sasa and I wish that KLCC would have at least one Big Apple/JCo/Krispy Kreme, a place for us to gossip and destress during lunch.

UPDATED
To zz,
When? - Next year, Where? - KL

The worldfamousKrispy Kreme Doughnut stores will soon be opening their doors in Malaysia.

This follows the signing of a development agreement between Berjaya Corporation Bhd (BCorporation) and Krispy Kreme Doughnuts Inc on Aug 8.

BCorporation through its 70% owned subsidiary Berjaya Krispy Kreme Doughnuts Sdn Bhd was granted the rights to develop and operate Krispy Kreme stores in Malaysia by Krispy Kreme Doughnut Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Krispy Kreme Doughnuts Inc.

BKK plans to open 20 Krispy Kreme stores in Malaysia within the next five years. The first outlet is scheduled to be opened Kuala Lumpur early next year.

More outlets will be opened in the Klang Valley followed by other major cities and towns in Malaysia. BCorporation is well known for developing and operating famous international food and beverage brands. It currently holds the franchise for Starbucks Coffee, Kenny Rogers Roasters and Wendy’s.

In June this year, BCorporation acquired the Papa John’s pizza franchise.

BCorporation chairman and CEO Tan Sri Vincent Tan said the addition of Krispy Kreme will strategically complement and widen his company’s existing food and beverage operations.

“We are delighted to enter into a franchise relationship with Krispy Kreme and be part of its international expansion in Asia,” he said.

“Krispy Kreme is very popular in Japan, South Korea and the Philippines and we expect Krispy Kreme to do well in Malaysia as well,” he added..

Krispy Kreme doughnuts, made from a secret recipe since 1937, appeal to people from all walks of life. Its signature hot Original Glazed® doughnut allows one to have a “melt in the mouth” experience. There are approximately 490 Krispy Kreme stores in the United States, Australia, Canada, Hongkong, Indonesia, Japan, Kuwait, Mexico, the Philippines, South Korea, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and the United Kingdom.

Meanwhile, Jeff Welch, the senior vice-president and general manager of Global Franchise Operations and Development for Krispy Kreme said it was an exciting opportunity to have a QSR franchisee like BCorporation introduce Krispy Kreme in Malaysia.

“BCorporation has significant franchise experience in Malaysia, and we look forward to working with them to share a one-of-a-kind Krispy Kreme experience with consumers in Malaysia there,” he said.

Happy Birthday Kak Ogy

Photobucket
She is the lucky 8 girl! This girl was born on 8 August 1978, memang banyak ong lah this year. Happy Birthday Kak Ogy. You are now 30 years old! (But she looks more like a 25 years old lady huh?
She visited us in Seremban last week so the three of us (Mama, Kak Ogy and myself) went out for our "girls-only" outing at Jusco S2. Mama and I treated her a birthday dinner at Secret Recipe. Where else to go in Seremban, if not Jusco S2?

As stomach is full and heart is happy, we headed to Mama's favourite pit stop every time we went to Jusco, none other than the MPH! This new Hajjah is so obsessed with "buku-buku agama" while I saw Kak Ogy browsing Lat's cartoon books at the bench and giggled to herself. I am no where to be seen near to Hajjah, I was at the entertainment section, browsing magazines for free thee hee hee.
I bumped into this book Eat, Pray and Love by Elizabeth Gilbert. Look interesting. Bf mentioned about the book too, he happens to knew it from the Oprah show. Man, I didn't know that he watch Oprah.

Awana Genting Highlands, Pahang

That workshop brings me to Genting, for the first time in my life, can you imagine? However due to tight workshop schedule, I don't even got the chance to smell the Theme Park. I guess I will have to come again somewhere later. I definitely will.
I only managed to snap few photos during our Hawaiian BBQ dinner. When the theme was announced, I kind of blank what to wear on that night. Suddenly that colorful and flowery Topshop tube came into my mind. I bought it few weeks ago. It was on 50% discount. Seronok juga the Hawaiian BBQ dinner. At the entrance, everyone was crowned with hula flower. Hula lula~
In the pictures are my partner in crime in the office. They rock! Without them, my life (in the office) would be empty, dull and boring.
As the organizing committee, we worked hard for making to happen. Am so glad everything went well, despite few glitches (biasalah) and deserve one day off today, but unfortunately, I still come to the office then left to SMK King George V, Seremban for Career and Sponsorship Talk. I feel like a zombie now. I need to ZZzzzZZ.
